On July 27, 2021, the church Cristo Obrero y Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, by engineer Eladio Dieste, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, recognized the Outstanding Universal Value on the work, considered by experts as a thematic example of the application of a new construction technique, reinforced ceramics, which Dieste developed from an ancient tradition.
